We are pleased to announce that this school year King's Kids Preschool will be using Preschool First Curriculum. PreschoolFirst works effectively in a variety of early childhood settings. Experienced teachers can use our formative assessment to guide their own activities. PreschoolFirst’s theme-based activities library can help any teacher offer a rich assortment of play-based learning experiences. PreschoolFirst’s parent section (also available in Spanish) engages families, encouraging parents to share information and become a partner in their child’s learning. Built on the work of Dr. Sally Flagler, noted neuropsychologist and Coordinator of the National Association of School Psychologists' Early Childhood Education Interest Group, PreschoolFirst saves teachers time in planning and organizing activities and performing record-keeping duties, while also giving busy parents an easy way to communicate with teachers and monitor their child's development. PreschoolFirst is aligned to all state early learning standards, as well as NAEYC curriculum content and assessment guidelines, American Academy of Pediatrics developmental milestones and Head Start Outcomes Framework. Teachers can search and find activities by state standard using PreschoolFirst's optional standards integration. So accountability, as well as flexibility, is built in.
